Randy R. Smalley

Randy was born and raised in Des Moines Iowa. He was a machinist by trade. Randy is a Army veteran , serving the the last part of the Vietnam war. In 1980, he married Laura Thurmond from Eagle Grove. They resided in Des Moines Iowa until the birth of their daughter Dawn. They then moved closer to Laura’s parents in Humboldt Iowa. In 1986, they moved to Arizona. Their son, Ian was born in Tempe Az in 1991. Randy knew a lot of different trades. He had his own A/C & Appliance business. He was an instructor for RSI Refrigeration school , and a maintenance tech. He also has a masters in Computer

Science. Throughout his later life , he had health problems, but he battled hard and was winning for a while.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn M Buchanan( fiancé , Todd Elliott) of Spark Nevada, his son Ian T Smalley,
