Alan W. Bresson
Alan W. Bresson, born June 12, 1941 in Wooster, Ohio, suddenly went to be with The Lord on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the age of 79 in Mesa, Arizona. “Al” graduated from Alton Senior High School in Illinois in 1959 and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force overseas where he met Sandra Glau of Cleveland, Ohio, his wife of 56 years. They were married in Istanbul, Turkey in 1965 where they both had worked and eventually moved to London, England and had a son, Derek. Al and family then moved back to Ohio where they had their second child, Ainslee, in the city of Lorain. After a brief time in Florence, Kentucky, the family of four and one pet mouse moved to Mesa, Arizona in ‘76, where they remained.
Al loved music of all kinds, but particularly Jazz and Big Band, even having been a drummer in a professional band, “The Rhythm Kings” of Alton, Illinois.He also loved college football and basketball and starting in 1998, Arizona Diamondbacks baseball.Al and Sandra attended Cornerstone Church in Mesa and will be missed by his church family there.Alan is survived by his wife Sandra, son Derek, daughter Ainslee Leyvas, son-in-law Ruben Leyvas, grandson Jonah Leyvas, and granddaughter Tatum Leyvas. He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Traci Bresson, brother Mike, and Sister Jan. We will sure miss him; especially his sense of humor and how he loved his family.We will even greatly miss his unwanted score updates via text during Diamondback games!We praise God for his life and his journey to be with The Lord. Private services have been held in Mesa.
