David Walter "Andy" Anderson

David Walter "Andy" Anderson, born 16 July, 1967 in Thomson, Georgia, to Songia Jean Shevlin and Ronald Anderson Sr., unexpectedly passed on 2 February, 2025 in Kileen, Texas while on a business trip. He is survived by his wife, Unmi Anderson, and his daughters, Ashley Anderson, Ashley Renee DeAugustine, and Hana Willow Anderson. His funeral service will be held at Horizon Funeral Care on 7530 E Main St in Mesa, Arizona starting at 4:00 PM on 1 March, 2025.

An Inspiration to everyone around him, Andy joined the United States Army in 1985 at the age of eighteen. After a highly awarded career in the military, including but not limited to tours of duty in Operation Desert Storm and in Kosovo, he retired from active duty in 2006 for a near-twenty-year long career at General Dynamics. During his time in the military, he married Unmi on August 31, 1995, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, with the two welcoming their first child on April 15, 1996 in Yongsan, South Korea. Throughout his career in the military, he and his family moved from Arizona to South Korea and other places in between, with them finally settling down in Gilbert, Arizona in 2010.

A hardworking man, loving husband, and caring father, Andy was always striving to make life easier for his family. Between his dedication to his career or his time in the garage building things for his house, he was always hard at work to make life easier for the people he cared about. He will be sorely missed by all those he touched in life.
