Dennis J. Delaney
1951-2022
Dennis “Double D” Delaney passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on February 23rd, 2022. Born April 20, 1951 to parents William and Winafred in Plainfield, New Jersey. The casino industry brought Dennis to the Atlantic City area where he started his family. He took time off from the casinos to own and operate Prima Pasta with his mother in law, Vivian DeVoe and her family in the mid 80s. The casino industry then took Dennis to the mid west working in both Indiana and Illinois. Dennis later returned to Ewing Township, NJ to co-own and operate a restaurant. In 2007 he relocated one last time to Arizona where he proudly owned and operated Jersey D’s Tavern and Grill, where his gift of gab and love of sports helped him make countless friends until his retirement. Dennis was an avid golfer his entire life. Nothing brought him more joy then his grandchildren who lovingly call him Pop Pop Arizona. Dennis is predeceased by his parents William and Winafred, Ex Wife Donna. He is survived by his daughter Danielle(Shawn), son Dustin, Grandchildren Aria and Jake, Brother Bobby(Debbie), Sister in Law Laura(Chris), nieces and nephews Billy, Kara, Amanda and Christopher Jr. Dennis’s family would like to thank all of his friends who have been there over the years and more recently with his health struggles Big J, Guy, Jose, Katie and Ronnie just to name a few of the friendships he talked about often. His family would also like to extend a very special thank you to Dennis’s best friend Yancy Anderson, who cared for him as his health declined. Not many people in this world are lucky enough to have a friend as special as Yancy. At Dennis’s request services will be private in New Jersey where he will be laid to rest with his parents.
