Kim Sickmiller

Died of cardiac arrest due to complications from diabetes.
Kim was a teacher and a football coach for 30 years. He attended Mountain View High School where he earned 1st team all-state and all AZ linebacker awards. Went on to play at Scottsdale Community College where he continued to earn recognition as 1st team all-conference linebackers. He furthered his education and football career at Northwestern University and while playing Junior Year, a neck injury ended his playing career. He finished his education at ASU with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, NAU Masters in Education, continued his education at Gold Canyon University - Ottawa University.
His coaching career includes Scottsdale Community College, Mountain View High school, Gilbert, Highland, Tempe High, Mesquite, Corona del Sol, and lastly Imagine Prep. Inducted into the Mountain View High School Athletic Hall of Fame 2012-2013.
He was born in Defianio, Ohio to Sandra Sickmiller (mother). He was raised by Evelyn Sickmiller (Grandma), Barbara Sickmiller M.D. (aunt), Robert and Shirley SIckmiller (uncle and aunt). All preceded him in death.
Kim’s true heart was football, family, teaching, coaching, and many friends along the way. He was devoted to his students, players, teammates, and fellow coaches. His vast knowledge of football and history were impressive. He very much enjoyed the fantasy football league where he was known as 2Legit. Devoted to his family: always willing to help, give direction, and was a father-figure to Kacia Sickmiller (niece). Never missed a softball game or school event.
Survived by brother Greg Schlosser (Tess), Sister Lori Mercer, John Schlosser (nephew), Melissa Howey (niece) (Travis), Kacia Sickmiller (niece), and many great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
