LuAnn B. Johnson

LuAnn B. Johnson, 69, Mesa, AZ died peacefully Monday April 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by members of her immediate family. A generous 'thank you' to those caregivers from Casa de la Luz East Valley Hospice for their tender and loving care in her last days. She was born September 26, 1953 in Ogden, Utah, USA. A daughter to William and Violet Bosgieter. She married Raymond Johnson on February 5, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She moved to Phoenix AZ from Ogden Utah in 1961. She attended Phoenix College. She worked part time for SteinMart in Scottsdale AZ in the Boutique Department for 11 years and was a full time nurturing homemaker.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in numerous leadership roles in Young Women, Relief Society, Primary and an ordinance worker in the Mesa Temple. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, son Shaun (Tiffany); daughter, Mariann Mear (Brian) and 7 grandchildren. Her brother Craig Bosgieter (Gail), their 3 children.

A Viewing will be held April 17 (Monday) 6:30-8:30pm at Horizon Funeral Care, 7350 E. Main St; Mesa, AZ 85207.

A Funeral/Celebration of Life to be held April 18 (Tuesday) 11am-12:15pm at Alta Mesa Stake Center, 5350 E McLellan Rd. Mesa, AZ 85205.

Burial will be at the Mountain View Cemetery at 7900 E. Main St; Mesa, AZ 85207 in the Christus Family Garden

The family requests in lieu of flowers to consider a generous contribution to a charity of your choice that is engaged in the eradication of cancer. A zoom version of the funeral will be at ( hopefully we'll have this sent to Shaun and me for redistribution).
