Richard Marshall

On the morning of December 23, 2022, Richard “Dick” Marshall passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 85. At his side was his wife of 63 years, Nancy, and his family.

He was born on December 30, 1936, in New Castle, PA. He coached CYO Basketball and Softball for 12 years along with his father. He was an Army veteran and retired from AT&T after 45 years of service. Since 1977 He and his family have made their home in Mesa, Arizona.

Surviving him in his death are his wife Nancy of 63 years, their 5 children, Barbara (Wendle) Lehnerd of San Tan Valley, AZ., Richard (Andrea) Marshall, Jodi (Miguel) Vasquez, Kendra Marshall all of Mesa, AZ, Douglas (Kelli) Marshall of San Tan Valley, AZ.

He has 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Harry (Shirley) Marshall of New Castle, Pa., Robert Marshall of Mesa, Az., Maureen Humphrey of Manassas, VA., Katherine (Edward) Sunseri of Boardman, Ohio., Patricia (Larry) Fluharty, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio., Charlotte (Joseph) Marcucci, Carol (Anthony) Magusiac, Michael (Sharon) Marshall all of New Castle, PA., and his sisters in law Patricia Marshall of Industry, PA. and Patricia Malone of Batavia, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary “Teen” Marshall, his son Stephen Marshall, his sister Karen Eddy, his brother Ronald Marshall, sister-in-law Suzanne Marshall and brother-in-law Paul Malone.

He lived a beautiful and full life with Nancy and his family. He loved to travel. He loved his Steelers, sweets, and sports of any kind. He spent his days telling jokes and stories while enjoying the outdoors and his love of gardening.

The loss of his physical presence is tremendously felt, but his love is one that will live on through our memories forever.
