Sharon L. Gill

January 19,1954 – July 24, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce that on July 24, 2023, our

mother, Shari Gill passed away after a courageous 12-year battle with

cancer. Our mother was a woman of strength, beauty, grace, and an

inspiration to us all. Deeply rooted in faith she always said, “I have

enough faith for all of us”.

Shari was born January 19, 1954, in Winona, MN to parents Donald

and Mary Orlikowski (Davidsavor). She was the second of nine

children. During her teen years, Shari moved to Milwaukee, WI where

she graduated from Hamilton High School in 1972. This is where her

talents in music and choir blossomed. She later went on to compose

her own music and filled the house with beautiful songs she played on her piano.

Shari was the mother to two children, Tony Gill and Carrie Millar (Gill). Being a mother was her proudest accomplishment. She worked hard and provided them with a full and happy life. Her unconditional love,

devotion, self-sacrifice and support for them was and will always be forever felt.

Loving the sun and warmer weather Shari moved to Mesa, AZ in 1995. Shari thrived in Arizona and worked for many years as an Administrator in the construction field. She also found her love for ballroom dance and participated in numerous competitions. She truly had the time of her life. Shari discovered a passion for watercolor painting and created many works of art for her family to cherish.

Always wanting grandchildren, Shari was blessed to become “Mimi” to three wonderful boys Michael, Ethan and Alex. She loved all of them so dearly and was so proud of them. She loved hearing of their successes and was always so supportive of them.

After knowing and loving each other for many years, James Ristow of Wauwatosa, WI and Shari became engaged. Her love for Jim was undeniable and she loved to dote on him when they were together.

She will be forever missed by those who knew her and loved her. A memorial for Shari will be determined at a later date and information will be passed along as soon as that time is set. Shari is survived by her son Tony Gill (Ryan), daughter Carrie Millar (Mike), grandchildren Michael Millar, Ethan Millar and Alex Millar, Fiancée James Ristow. Siblings Ruth Rackow, Kathryn Skarr, Theresa Orlikowski, Robert Orlikowski, Renee McKenzie.

Shari is preceded in death by father Donald Orlikowski, mother Mary Duresky (Orlikowski, Davidsavor), brothers Donald Jr. Orlikowski, Richard Orlikowski and James Orlikowski.
